Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. The Information We Collect
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Camp 15 website. On some pages, you can order replacement rings, make requests, and register to participate in the Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer ceremony.
The Way We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself when placing a replacement ring order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except if you were originally obligated by some other Camp in Canada. In this case, we will contact the other Camp to verify your obligation. If you graduated from the University of Waterloo or Conestoga College, and only if you have indicated your approval to do so, then we will provide your information to update the records of the Camp.
We use the information you provide to register you for attendance at the Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer ceremony wherein the you make an Obligation in the presence of your betters and equals of your Calling. We keep your name, program of study, year of Obligation, and size of ring on record for future verification purposes, if and when a replacement ring is sought.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website. Information collected may include the date and time you visit our website and the Internet Protocol (IP) address your computer is currently utilizing to access the internet along with some basic information about the type of browser and operating system you are using.
We also may place a small piece of data on your machine known as a cookie. This cookie will contain a unique identifier so we can provide a better experience while utilizing our website. You can prevent this by modifying the way your web browser stores cookies. Please consult your manual for assistance.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
